Once Trista Sutter married the love of her life, Ryan Sutter, she knew right away she wanted to start a family with him. Sadly, that turned into two-years of painful ups and downs for her. Trista revealed on Feb. 25, that her new book “Happily Ever After: The Life Changing Power of a Grateful Heart,” highlights those years.
During Trista’s Bachelorette days, she radiated happiness and positivity when she met Ryan. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case once she got married. The reality star revealed to Fox411 on Feb. 25, that she experienced “dark days” due to her long struggle trying to get pregnant.
“I talk about in the book how we struggled with infertility for almost two years. I always wanted to be a mom, it was always my dream and although I wanted to be a career person for a very long time, overplaying that at all times was to become a mother.”
Sadly, Trista started to question her marriage and her faith. “When you get married you believe, ‘Okay, the next natural thing is to have babies.’ When that doesn’t happen you start to question your relationship, you start to question yourself, even God,” she told the outlet. How awful!
“It’s a very difficult thing to not be able to do anything about making a dream of yours come true and questioning whether something is wrong with you. So that was definitely a dark time in my life.”
We can’t imagine how hard that must of been on her and Ryan. But it’s great she is sharing her struggle with others. Hopefully, other couples who are going through the same thing will read this.
Thankfully Trista’s dark days came to a halt when she and Ryan welcomed their first child, son Max, in July 2007. Then, just two years later, they were blessed with another bundle of joy, daughter Blakesley.
As for telling their children how they met, Trista admitted to Fox411, “Of course we’ll tell them. It’s nothing we want to hide or even can hide if we wanted to. All they have to do is Google. I’m excited to tell them. It’s fun we actually have the moment we got engaged on film. We have our entire wedding on television. And that’s really special.”
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers, will Trista and Ryan try their luck for a third? Let us know your thoughts!
