Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy have been costars and best friends for years, but is that all coming to an end? Jennette is attacking a former “friend,” and all signs point to Ariana. Click to read Jennette’s full blog post, but warning: it’s nasty!
Jennette McCurdy is at the center of another scandal, and this time, she brought it upon herself.
The Sam & Cat actress, 21, made headlines when racy pictures of her leaked, and ever since, rumors of a feud with her costar Ariana Grande have been swirling. Now, Jennette is lashing out against a “trouble friend” in a spiteful message, and it seems very likely that she’s targeting Ariana!
In a TwitLonger post, Jennette penned a lengthy attack on a “friend,” titled “Letting Go Of Someone.” She publicized the post about “fake friends” to over five million followers on her own Twitter.

“This article is about knowing when to let go of a bad ‘friendship,'” Jennette writes. “There seem to be a lot of articles floating around the web right now that provide tips for ditching this ambiguous ‘trouble friend’, so I wanted to provide my take on the matter, with a very personal example.”
She continues to call the mystery frenemy a “leech for drama and gossip,” saying that she cannot trust her and that their friendship “fizzled out.” Ouch!
As for what happened to our friendship, it faded once through happenstance and it is happening this time through my stance. I’m standing up for myself. I’m not playing your games, letting you manipulate me, and succumbing to your twisted perception of reality.
Where did I go? As far away from you as I can get. You won’t be hearing from me anymore because sweetheart, being a friend to you was doing so much more for you than it was doing for me. You sucked the life right out of me, and I want my life back.
Did you do something wrong? Yes and no. I’m not sure whether you intentionally did something wrong or not, because I have always been a little unclear on what exactly your intentions are. But you did do something wrong in the way you did not treat me right. You disrespected me, disregarded me, and made me feel small by having to always make yourself seem so big.
So for these sincere reasons, I am officially dropping you as a friend. If I see you, I won’t turn the other way and run (even though I want to). Instead, I’ll just smile and end the conversation as quickly as possible, because no offense, but I don’t want any of you rubbing off on me. Actually, that’s pretty offensive. Oh well.

At the time of Jennette’s leaked photos, rumors buzzed about that the Nickelodeon would cancel Sam & Cat, a top-rated show for the network. While the network has yet to pull the plug, some have also questioned Ariana and Jennette’s relationship, as the source of the holdup.
TMZ reported that the two starlets earned very different paychecks, which upset Jennette, but she had no problem with Ariana personally.
“Jennette McCurdy’s beef with Nickelodeon is strictly about the almighty dollar and how she makes less than her Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande,” the site reported. “McCurdy’s dissatisfaction is rooted in her paycheck…we’re told the pint-sized star is pissed that Grande makes way more money than her and she’s been trying to renegotiate her deal.”
At the time, Ariana cleared up the rumors in her own TwitLonger post.
“I hate addressing rumors and I hate gossip but this is really bothering me. Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other on this show). The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false.”
Ariana’s statement did not put an end to the rumors — Jennette lashed out at Nickelodeon, adding fuel to the fire, after skipping out on the Kids’ Choice Awards.
