How to Make A

As the weather turns colder, here’s a recipe for a low-calorie, delicious warm cocktail everyone will enjoy: The Hot Toddy

Made with some simple ingredients you likely already have in your place, the Hot Toddy is great for cozying up by the fire or even if you’re battling a bit of a cold!

What you’ll need:   * 2 oz Aged spirit of choice  (whiskey, aged rum, reposado tequila, cognac, etc.) If using whisky, you can opt for a lower calorie one like Jack Daniels or Wild Turkey, which both have 98 calories per 1.5 oz. * 0.5 oz Honey for classic Hot Toddy   * 0.5 oz Lemon Juice * 3-4 oz Hot Water  (to make it Supercharged, try using Essentia Water)

On a stove, heat the water to a very light simmer -- you don’t want the water to be too hot.

Combine the aged spirit, honey, and lemon juice into a glass mug. Top with 4-5 ounces of hot water, and stir.

Garnish with a lemon wheel, cinnamon stick, or speared cranberries – and drink up!
