Donald Trump wasted no time in selecting his presumptive cabinet following his victory in the 2024 presidential election. Shortly after securing the win, the Republican quickly named his key appointments for when he assumes office in January 2025. One of the most highly publicized nominations was that of Rep. Matt Gaetz, who was selected by Trump to serve as Attorney General. However, due to his prior sexual misconduct allegations, Gaetz withdrew from consideration.
