Zendaya and Tom Holland met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming back in 2016. The duo became close friends while playing classmates in the movie. They danced together in their downtime, making fun little videos, and that turned into an all-out performance when the duo battled on the Lip Sync Battle television show, with Tom performing Rihanna‘s “Umbrella,” and Zendaya performing Bruno Mars‘ “24k Magic,” both dressing as the original respective singer.
The duo has faced many rumors about the status of their relationship, and for years, the two kept up that even though their onscreen characters may develop a romance – they were just friends in real life. However, in 2021, they confirmed that their friendship had turned into a romance. Three years later, reports surfaced claiming that Z and Tom got engaged over the December 2024 holidays. Neither of them has commented on the reports, but she was seen with a diamond ring on her wedding finger at the 2025 Golden Globes.
