Macaulay Culkin, born Aug. 26, 1980, is an icon of the 90s, who started his career as a child actor. His breakout role was playing Kevin McCallister in the 1990 Christmas classic ‘Home Alone’, which sparked the sequel in 1992 ‘Home Alone 2: Lost In New York’. Playing Kevin in the first film earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor: Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. He went on to have starring roles in films like ‘My Girl’ and ‘Richie Rich’, and in 1994 decided to take a break from acting to have a normal childhood.
He returned in 2003 in the film ‘Party Monster’ and went on to have roles in quirky, artsy, and otherwise unique films. Macaulay is also a musician. He formed the Velvet Underground parody band The Pizza Underground in 2014; the band announced their split in 2016. He’s welcomed two sons with longtime partner Brenda Song. His siblings include actors Kieran and Rory Culkin.
