Jonathan Majors was a rising star in the movie business before he was found guilty of assault in a New York trial. The California native got his start in the industry in the 2017 miniseries When We Rise. His big break came with 2019’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco, which earned Jonathan an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
Before his trial, he was beginning to enter the next phase of his career when he appeared in Marvel’s Loki series in 2021. He was portraying Kang the Conqueror, and he was gearing up to be the next main villain in the new phase of the MCU. He had appeared again in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. After his guilty verdict, Marvel revealed that they’d cease working with him.
In March 2023, Jonathan was arrested after he was accused of assault and harassment by his ex-girlfriend. After the trial, he was found guilty of one count of each, but not guilty of two more charges. He plans to appeal the charges.
