Jake Paul rose to fame on the video platform Vine, but these days, he’s the reigning king of YouTube and a world-famous fighter! The famous funny guy boasts nearly 20 million subscribers to his account, and frequently collaborates with his brother, Logan Paul, an internet phenomenon in his own right.
Since then, Jake has successfully transitioned into professional boxing and become one of the sport’s most talked-about crossover figures. After beginning with bouts against fellow creators, he went on to face several high-profile opponents, including former NBA player Nate Robinson, MMA fighters Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, and UFC legend Anderson Silva. In 2024, Jake also stepped into the ring with boxing legend Mike Tyson in one of the most highly publicized crossover bouts in recent years. His fights have generated major pay-per-view attention and helped introduce new audiences to the sport. Outside the ring, Jake has also expanded his business ventures as the co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, a boxing promotion company he launched with business partner Nakisa Bidarian that promotes major fight events and rising talent.
Back in 2019, Hollywood Life caught up with Jake in California to get an update on his projects and a hand injury that had temporarily kept him out of the boxing ring. When asked at the time if he thought he’d ever box again, Jake admitted he wasn’t sure. “I don’t know, it depends on when I throw a punch again at the bag and see how it hits. But I’m scared. I’m kind of salty about it. But I still feel like I could beat 90% of these YouTubers’ as**s with one hand, including KSI. I think the only person I couldn’t beat one-handed is my brother,” he said. However, one person he insisted he wouldn’t get in the ring with was Chris Brown. “He’s soft man. He’s not ready for the smoke.”
