Ms. Marvel features a talented cast of young actors including Matt Lintz, 21. Matt shares a lot of screen time with lead star Iman Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan. The duo star as teenage high school students, though Kamala’s world is turned upside down when she gains superpowers. Matt has had several notable film and television roles, but Ms. Marvel on Disney+ might be his biggest and best role yet. Here are five key things to know about Matt Lintz.
Matt stars in Ms. Marvel as Bruno Carrelli, Kamala’s best friend. Fans are introduced to Bruno in the first episode, which premiered on Disney+ on June 8. Matt’s role in the series was confirmed in November 2020 when photos leaked of him and Iman filming on the set. The following month, Matt shared a photo of a “Ms. Marvel” comic on Instagram thereby confirming that he’s in the show.
Matt made his acting debut in 2009’s Halloween II as a minor character named Mark. From there, Matt landed many more acting jobs including a role in A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song alongside Lucy Hale and Freddie Stroma. He also appeared in the 2014 crime film Kill the Messenger and in the 2015 fantasy film Pixels.
Prior to Ms. Marvel, Matt’s most notable television role was as the older version of Henry, the adopted son of Carol (Melissa McBride) and Ezekiel (Khary Payton) in The Walking Dead. He appeared in a total of 11 episodes throughout season 9 and 10.
Matt has two older sisters, Mackenzie Lintz, 25, and Madison Lintz, 23, and a younger brother, Macsen Lintz, 16. Macsen actually played the younger version of Matt’s character in The Walking Dead, while Madison played Carol’s daughter Sophia Peletier in the first two seasons. Madison currently has a starring role on the Amazon Prime Video series Bosch. Mackenzie’s acting credits including the movie Love, Simon and the CBS series Under the Dome.
Matt is in a relationship with Gracie Sapp, a veterinary student at Auburn University. The couple post each other on their respective Instagram pages. Gracie was by Matt’s side on the red carpet premiere for Ms. Marvel before the Marvel series premiered. Matt looked dapper in a red jacket and black pants, while Gracie stunned in a sparkling dark red dress. Such a stunning couple!
