CinemaCon 2017: When, Where, Who & Everything Else You Need To Know

Every year, all of the biggest film studios in the biz gather in Las Vegas for CinemaCon — a 4-day long event specifically for industry insiders and press. Here’s what you need to know about the star-studded convention everyone is talking about!

1.) CinemaCon 2017 Will Take Over Las Vegas

Starting on Monday, March 27, CinemaCon will kick off inside Caesars Palace right on the Las Vegas strip. The first day is “International Day”, but after that big movie studios — including Focus Features, Universal and Disney — will host individual events highlighting their upcoming projects.

2.) There Is A ‘Big’ Awards Show At The End

On Thursday, March 30, the Big Screen Achievement Awards honor the biggest, best and brightest stars. For 2017, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales newcomer, Brenton Thwaites, will be honored with the Breakthrough Performer of the Year award, while household names like Jessica Chastain, Goldie Hawn and more will also be honored. So exciting!

3.) The Trade Show Floor Is The Place To Be

Ever wanted to know what it was like to build the perfect movie theater? Well, have no fear — the CinemaCon Trade Show will let you in on the secret! Like any convention, CinemaCon has a Trade Show that is specifically designed to attract movie theater owners. From fancy new reclining seats to concession gadgets and more, the Trade Show will bring owners and industry insiders up to speed on what’s new, next and the future of theater going.

4.) Which A-Listers Will Be There?

While nothing is 100% confirmed, there are rumors that A-lister Ben Affleck, 44, will be on-hand to promote the upcoming and highly anticipated Justice League. Naomi Watts, Charlize Theron, and Kirsten Dunst are just a handful of more names said to be in attendance, too!
