Adam Farrar, 45, and Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, used to be very close. However, it seems the step-brothers fell out after Leo made it big, becoming an Oscar-winner with a multi-million dollar empire. Adam now resides in Los Angeles, leading a very meager life, but he hopes their bond will change. “We were once so close,” Adam revealed to The Mail on Nov. 19. “I loved him and I still do. But, we’ve not spoken in a couple of years.” The struggling TV-scene painter even shared what bothers him the most. “Leo wants to save the world but he seems more concerned about the environment and climate change than he does about his own brother. It hurts.”
Adam and his wife Charity‘s ten-year-old child Normandie, is reportedly being cared for by Leonardo’s father George and Adam’s mother, Peggy. Adam’s daughter was removed from his care in 2014, but he thinks Leo could help. “I admit to making mistakes but Charity and I have not seen our daughter in two years. All we want is for Normandie to know her parents. In this town, the DiCaprio name and money counts for a lot. My mother used Leo’s name in court and I am sure that influenced the judge. I don’t want anything from my brother but I’m the only brother he has. I just want him in my life. And I want to see my daughter.”
Although Adam had a drug-addiction in the past, he places no blame on his brother’s success, which also awarded him the opportunity to attend a few A-list soirees. More so, now he hopes to reunite their broken relationship. Adam said, “The last time I saw Leo was at his birthday party a couple of years ago. I’d been invited by another friend. Leo was pleased to see me and gave me a hug. But when I try to call him, my messages go unanswered. He has a whole team around him now and it’s impossible to penetrate that wall.”
