Thaddeus Wilk Farrow was only 27 years old when he passed away on Sept. 21, and on Sept. 22 we learned that he died after an attempt at suicide in his car. The young man, who is actress Mia Farrow’s son, was killed by a “self-inflicted gunshot wound to his torso,” the Connecticut Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to People.
On Sept. 21 we learned that Thaddeus had died at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut, near his mother’s home. Though there was not much information at the time, reports said he died from suffering a life-threatening injury in his car, but did not say that it was from a car crash. The new information that it was a suicide attempt answers a lot of questions left from the original reports. Mia responded to the tragic news with the following statement:

Thaddeus suffered from polio as a child, which left him paraplegic. This is part of what drew Mia to him when she found him in Calcutta, India, because she suffered from polio herself when she was 9 years old. She adopted Thaddeus when he was 3, soon after splitting up with Woody Allen following the tragic allegations that he sexually abused her daughter Dylan.
Mia has now lost three children, including Thaddeus. Tam Farrow was just 19 years of age when she passed away in 2000, after heart failure relating to a battle with a long illness. In 2008 she lost a second child, Lark Previn, who was only 35 years old when he died. So sad! Our hearts go out to Mia and the rest of the family, rest in peace Thaddeus.
