Kimbo Slice‘s life abruptly ended on June 6 at the young age of 42. The MMA Fighter was a legend in the ring, and on the streets, but according to his training partner, his heart gave out on him, and that ultimately killed him. So sad.
In a series of Facebook messages, Kimbo’s training partner, Tyler Cook, revealed he died after his “heart quit” working. To see the messages, look below. Further details have not yet been disclosed.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Kimbo was taken to the hospital early Monday morning, but just a short time later, he was pronounced dead. Initially, details about his condition were not revealed. Now, we at least have a bit more insight into why he died so young. An expert EXCLUSIVELY explained to HollywoodLife.com how this might have happened to such a young man.
The CEO of Bellator MMA confirmed the news of his death, according to TMZ, saying, “We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating untimely loss of Kimbo Slice, a beloved member of the Bellator family. One of the most popular MMA fighters ever, Kimbo was a charismatic, larger-than-life personality that transcended the sport. Outside of the cage he was a friendly, gentle giant and a devoted family man. HIs loss leaves us all with extremely heavy hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ferguson family and all of Kimbo’s friends, fans and teammates.”
