First comes love, then comes marriage, but was a lack of a baby carriage why Amber Heard, 30, filed for divorce with Johnny Depp, 52? Amber decided to split from her husband of 15-months when the Alice Through The Looking Glass star refused reportedly refused to give her the child she desperately wanted!
“Johnny and Amber were at odds with each other because she wanted a baby,” an insider tells Radar Online, “but he didn’t want to be an old dad.” Johnny is already a father, having two children with Vanessa Paradis, 43 — daughter Lily-Rose Depp, 16, and son John “Jack” Depp III, 14. It seems that the last thing the 52-year-old Johnny wanted to do was change another diaper.
However, the Pirates of the Caribbean star reportedly tried to compromise with Amber’s baby drama. “Johnny was slightly open to the idea of adopting a kid that was 8 or 9,” the source tells Radar, “but Amber wants a child that’s [her own.]” The fights over growing their family were so bad, they were reportedly sleeping in separate beds during the last few months of their marriage.
Amber may have wanted a child with Johnny since his other kids supposedly hate her. Lily-Rose and Jack reportedly openly discuss how much they “hated” Amber with Johnny’s two sisters and his late mother, Betty Sue Palmer. Betty Sue also thought that Amber was treating her boy “like crap.”
Wow. In between the Depp family drama and Johnny refusing to make her his baby mamma, no wonder Amber reportedly had a severe case of “cold feet” before she got married. The Drive Angry actress had some serious regrets about getting engaged. It’s quite possible she knew what she was getting into.
Amber may not have gotten a baby out of her marriage to Johnny, but she may wind up walking away with a good chunk of his $400 million dollar fortune. The two didn’t get a prenup and Johnny has already reportedly rejected her request for spousal support. Consider that just another thing Johnny isn’t going to give Amber.
