After winning the award for Best Actor at the Academy Awards on Feb. 28, Leo celebrated by painting Hollywood red. Leo hit up the Ago restaurant in WeHo, according to TMZ. But, when he was about to leave, someone ran out after Leo’s car with his Oscar, as if he had almost forgotten it! Yikes! Of course Leo wouldn’t forget his Oscar — not after how hard he worked to earn it! Everyone was rooting for Leo’s victory, and when he was announced as the Best Actor, the Internet lost its mind as fans posted meme after meme in celebration! Before hitting up the after-party to bask in his victory, Leo admitted he was “stunned” and “overwhelmed” with this victory. Plus, along with the joy of seeing his childhood dream come true, the Wolf of Wall Street actor confessed he was extremely “grateful” for all the fan support he’s received throughout the years.
Leo’s biggest fan and BFF, Kate Winslet, 41, was at the Oscars ceremony to witness Leo’s win herself. When his name was read aloud, Kate burst into tears of joy at her bestie’s victory. She was also there to passionately hug him after he gave his acceptance speech! Aww. This proves that just like Leo and his Oscar, Kate will never forget the love she feels for her Titanic co-star.
