If anyone knows how to party, it’s Big Sean — and he proved that at the BET Awards. Performing a medley of his recent hits, “Blessings”and “One Man Can Change the World,” and “IDFWU,” the crowd went nuts for him as he totally nailed it. Nominated for three awards at the show, it’s not surprising that he totally brought his A-game!
Sean started with “One Man” and “Blessings,” both songs that feature Kanye West and we’ve got to say, the smokey performance reminded us a lot of ‘Ye! However, he then took over with “IDFWU,” and everyone went nuts. He went into the crown and danced with Chris Brown for a bit, too, before bringing out E-40. It was definitely a huge one for him, and one of our favorite performances of the entire night!
Just three years ago, Big Sean took home the BET Award for Best New Artist — now, he’s performing plus he’s up for Video of the year against the biggest names of hip hop, including Chris Brown and Beyonce! Plus, right after the show he premiered his new video for “Play No Games” featuring Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign!
“IDFWU” is a huge song for Sean, as it’s based on his famous ex, Naya Rivera. While he said it doesn’t come from a “bitter” place, he said she did inspire it. “His new video and song is all about Naya,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “He’s always said that he dodged a bullet with her and then he put it in the song. And he’s a quarterback because she’s a cheerleader on Glee.”
Did you love his performance, HollywoodLifers?
