Michelle Obama Narrowly Avoids Wardrobe Malfunction As Dress Blows Up

Michelle Obama gracefully avoided a wardrobe malfunction while stepping off a plane to Venice on June 19. The First Lady caught her dress right in time as it was blown around, nearly causing a fashion mishap!

It will take more than a gust of wind to catch First Lady Michelle Obama off-guard. While continuing her tour of Europe, Mrs. Obama exited the plane with daughters Malia Obama and Sasha Obama, and almost suffered from a Marilyn Monroe-moment.

She might be the First Lady of the United States, but this latest moment proved even Mrs. Obama is susceptible to wardrobe malfunctions. And we’ve got to say, we’re super impressed by her quick reflexes, seeing as we’ve all had some pretty close calls while wearing a flowy dress on a windy day.

Near-wardrobe malfunction aside, the First Lady debuted another gorgeous outfit, this time in the Michael Kors Pleated Shirtdress in a bright red shade that was perfect for summer and looked gorgeous on the fashion-savvy First Lady. The cotton shirtdress was accented with silver buttons and a pleated silhouette, which might have been what caused her skirt to blow up in the wind more.

Michelle Obama Almost Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction

The Obama ladies have been mixing elegant looks with more relaxed styles during their global tour promoting the First Lady’s Let Girls Learn initiative, which aims to provide education to adolescent girls around the world. Having already stopped in London where the First Family (minus President Obama) had tea with Prince Harry, Mrs. Obama and her daughters spent time in Milan and Venice where they visited with soldiers and their families in addition to speaking at several schools.

What do you think of Mrs. Obama’s graceful save? Has this ever happened to you, HollywoodLifers?
