Selena Gomez, 22, looked absolutely stunning at the 2015 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC on May 4. She was decked out on the red carpet, looking like she stepped right out of the “China: Through The Looking Glass,” exhibit, accompanied by Vera Wang, the designer behind her sexy, chic ensemble. Selena stole the show — do you agree?
We would be lying if we tried to say this wasn’t one of our favorite Met Gala looks ever. From the slinky silhouette, (and the way it hugged her curves!), to the flowers in her hair and the bold red lip, she totally honored the theme in a tasteful, (and totally chic), way. The silk white Vera Wang gown looked like it was made for her. The dress featured a white bandeau that showed ample cleavage and a plunging silk v-neckline draped over it — but that’s not all!
The straps of the dress featured black tassels that draped over her shoulders, showing off the best part of the dress. The back was completely open before leading to the scoop bottom, which allowed her to show off her backside. Now that’s how you bring sexy back.
We cannot get over her hairdo for tonight. An enormous white poppy flower headpiece was draped over a voluptuous chignon, making her look classy and beautiful. She opted for diamond teardrop earrings, simple diamond bangles, and a red poppy lip.
This look is definitely a change from the 2014 Met Gala, “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” when Sels rocked a plum Diane von Furstenberg gown with a plunging neckline — and while we loved her gown last year we have to say, it was a major upgrade!
We think Selena might be our favorite look of the night — do you agree?
