It certainly didn’t take long for Zayn Malik, 22, to jet-start his solo career after leaving One Direction, but that doesn’t mean an influx of new music is coming all at once! Naughty Boy released the Brit’s first post-boyband track “I Won’t Mind” on March 30, but as of now, there’s no specific plans for future releases, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.

“He has worked on some things along with the song that was released, but nothing is imminent,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Be patient, though! Naughty Boy actually tweeted the song name “I Won’t Mind” to Zayn way back in September, so it seems they’ve been working secretly in the studio together for quite awhile. It should only be a matter of time before we hear something else!

Meanwhile, the pop star has laid low since quitting One Direction and releasing the new song, but keeping quiet is part of his plan. “He knew the song was being released and didn’t want to fight it either way because he knows that it would look bad no matter how he reacted to it,” an source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Now that it is out, he wants it to do what it is meant to do.”

Unfortunately, what the song’s “meant to do” might not be exactly what Zayn hoped for! In fact, he lost over 50,000 Twitter followers after the new track went public! OUCH!

Of course, music may not be the only thing on Zayn’s mind these days. Before officially deciding to leave the band, Zayn took a hiatus from the One Direction tour in mid-March after rumors surfaced that he’d cheated on fiancee Perrie Edwards, 21, and on March 31, he was still working on mending the relationship.

In his latest attempt to woo back his lady love, Zayn whisked Perrie away from London on a private jet with his family. The group attempted to cover up during their departure, but weren’t able to go unnoticed while boarding the lavish aircraft.
