Taylor Swift, 24, was the victim of a social media hack, and, unfortunately, some direct messages allegedly written by her were later released online. The messages between Taylor and her pal, Nick Jonas, 22, show them making plans to party and joking about being the “bad kids” now. Eek.
I this isn’t a reminder to clean out your Twitter messages every once and a while, I don’t know what is.
Some how, some way, Taylor’s Twitter and Instagram were hacked by one clever social media user on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
One of the most interesting things to come out of the hack, so far, were a look at direct messages that were allegedly written between her and her ex-boyfriend’s little brother, Nick.
“Yeah tomorrow night I’m done at 4pm, dinner/drinks/gambling?” a message allegedly written by Taylor appears to be sent to Nick. “Are we bad kids now?”
Okay, to be fair, both Taylor and Nick are old enough to do all three of those things, but it is pretty weird to see our former tween idols making plans to rage together, no?
One account that wasn’t hijacked by Taylor’s hackers was her trusty Tumblr account, which she uses solely to communicate with fans and, occasionally, geek out about things she loves.
Since it was her only safe bet, she made sure to address the hacking on Tumblr once everything was under control.
“My Twitter got hacked but don’t worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords,” Taylor wrote. “Never a dull moment.”
Hey, at least she still had her sense of humor!
