An eerie new detail has emerged in the murder-suicide of Earl Hayes and Stephanie Moseley. Aspiring rapper Earl released a troubling song in 2010 that featured lines like: “I could just kill us both, go out with a smash.” Read on to listen to the song and see the lyrics.
Fans were shocked when Stephanie, 30, and Earl, 34, were both found dead in their Los Angeles apartment on Monday, Dec. 8. As we struggle to make sense of their deaths, an old track of Earl’s suggests that he had been troubled by violent thoughts for years.
Here are some of the frightening lyrics:
“Shoot your girlfriend or when you get surrounded by cops
F**k the real life shoot it out and do your time on the spot
Make a family crying with your girl and their hearstses
Take somebody with you who really didn’t deserve it
Show everybody that life just ain’t perfect.
And when you get mad, it’s time to close curtains
Cuz this song is for you”
How awful — could those haunting words have been intended for Stephanie?
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Stephanie had been “afraid” that Earl would harm her or himself for quite some time.
“Stephanie wanted out, she wanted to end her relationship with Earl,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “He was always a controlling guy, but things were getting out of hand.”
“[Earl] was paranoid that [Stephanie] was cheating on him and had threatened to kill himself in the past if she ever left him. The tragic part is that she wanted to leave him at least two months ago and was afraid to end things. She said she didn’t want to hurt him and now she’s no longer with us.”
Our thoughts go out to Stephanie and Earl’s loved ones during this very difficult time.
