Diem Brown always had a smile on her face no matter what. Her joy for life came across loud and clear while watching the beautiful montage, which was shown at her funeral on Nov. 18. Grab a tissue, click play, and watch the amazing Diem shine throughout the years.
The emotional video starts off with a picture of Diem and her parents on the day she was born in Germany. We continue to view adorable pictures of young Diem as Ed Sheeran‘s slow song, “Kiss Me” plays in the background.
Switching up the mood, pics of Diem’s years at Florida State University are shown to the upbeat song, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” She is seen posing with many of her Delta Gamma sisters. We then get a glimpse into her post-college days as she pursued her entertainment news career.
“Do everything,” Diem says in a clip from the montage. “Don’t take any moment for granted. Just go for it, do it. Because you’re going to experience so much.”
Towards the end of the video, we are taken though a heartbreaking journey with pic of her cancer battle. As sad as the montage is, we love that Diem’s high spirits and love for life shines through the screen.
As if Diem’s strength wasn’t apparent enough in the montage vid, the story of her last moments will blow you away.
On the day of her death, Nov. 14, Diem’s sister, Megan, who has been by her side everyday, was stuck in traffic on the way to the hospital. When Megan finally arrived at her bedside, she told Diem, “It’s okay baby, it’s okay, go to Mom.” She told People, “and as the last syllable hit my lips, her last breath hit her.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Diem’s friends and family during this difficult time.
