Taylor Swift, 24, usually writes about her own breakup experiences, but did she get inspired by rollercoaster romance between Justin Bieber, 20, and Selena Gomez, 22? In an all-new interview, T-Swift reveals interesting details about her song “How You Get The Girl” that sounds like it could totally be about Jelena!
Oh, boy. Given that Taylor hasn’t been in a relationship in quite awhile, it’s understandable that she may have taken a page from Justin and Selena’s ongoing romance novel.
“How You Get The Girl,” a song from her latest album, is eerily similar to Justin and Selena’s relationship struggles.
“It’s written for a guy who has broken up with his girlfriend, then wants her back after six months,” she told Us Weekly. “But it’s not going to be as simple as sending a text like, ‘Sup? Miss you.'”
Justin and Selena have broken up more times than we can count, and it’s been pretty easy for Justin to win her back until now.
That type of easy reunion wasn’t going to be OK anymore, according to Taylor’s song. “That won’t work,” she continued. “You need to do all the things I say.”
Now that sounds even more like Jelena! After their latest breakup, Justin has tried all his old tricks to win her back, but to no avail. Justin’s not getting the easy way back in this time around.
The 24-year-old is one of the most successful women in the music industry, but she’s always going to do things her way. Unlike stars like Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, Taylor won’t be identified as a sex symbol. Because of that, she can’t name anyone in the business who she looks up to.
“We’re taught to find examples for the way we want our lives to wind up,” she told TIME magazine. “But I can’t find anyone, really, who’s had the same career trajectory as mine.”
With as much success as Taylor’s achieved in just a short amount of time, she doesn’t need a role model! However, her strong opinions make her one of the best role models for young women!
