Kanye West, 36, who is often controversial, stopped a concert in Sydney, Australia on Sept. 12, demanding that every member of the audience get up and dance. Unfortunately, two handicapped fans were singled out by the rapper for not obliging. Hours after the awkward encounter went down, a video surfaced online.
“I can’t do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t,” Kanye shouted, according to TMZ.
Without knowing about the fans’ handicaps, concertgoers at Qantas Credit Union Arena started booing the person in the wheelchair.
After the other handicapped fan waved her prosthetic limb, the rapper acknowledged his mistake and said, “Okay, you fine.”
We cringed while watching the video. (Watch it above!)
Obviously Kanye meant well, but it’s pretty hard to watch without feeling bad for the handicapped fans.
On a positive note, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, 36, had some loving words to say about her hubby, following his concert.
”He makes me feel like Woman Of The Year everyday! He is really the most supportive person ever. We have a really good time together. He says, “let’s treat each other like it’s our birthday everyday,” she said.
So sweet! At least Kanye is doing something right. In all seriousness, though, we know Kanye didn’t mean any harm during his concert.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Kanye publicly apologize to the man in the wheelchair?
