Louis Tomlinson, who celebrated his 22nd birthday Dec. 24, is mourning the death of his beloved grandmother Margaret Tomilson, who died Jan. 4. The One Direction singer’s grandparents on both sides of his family are featured in the British group’s music video for their hit song “Story of My Life”.
Louis is “grief-stricken,” a source tells The Sun. The singer has not tweeted about his grandmother’s death, and is reportedly with his family in England.
On Jan. 4, Louis’ dad Mark Tomlinson tweeted, “The birds are singing today. Rest in Peace my beautiful Mum. I’m going to really miss you xxxxxxx.”

The heartthrob’s grandfather Keith Tomlinson also wrote a sentimental message on his Twitter:
There was never one day in 47 years of being married to me that Mrs T didn’t tell me she loved me…So much love from you for Mrs T. You have been so kind to me today. I thank you all from the bottom of my breaking heart.
The cause of Margaret’s death has not been revealed.
Louis, along with his dad and grandfather, have received an outpouring of support from thousands of fans around the world. The musician’s grandfather thanked the caring fans on Jan. 7 with this tweet:
I see what you are doing. Every tweet of hope and optimism I ever made is coming back to me. You are all so kind Too kind.
HollywoodLife.com sends our prayers and love to Louis and his family during this difficult time.
