Ariel Castro’s Daughter: My Father Is ‘Evil’ & ‘Demonic’

Angie Gregg, one of Ariel’s five children, is disgusted that her father held three women captive for over a decade. In a new interview, she reveals that until May 6, she thought that she had the best dad in the world. Now, she’s living with the horror of what her father did.

Angie Gregg found out that her father, Ariel Castro, kidnapped and allegedly brutally tortured Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight at the same time as the rest of the world. In a new interview, she reveals that her father is now dead to her. (Her sister, Arlene Castro, shares her sentiments.)

Angie Gregg Interview — Ariel Castro’s Daughter Says Dad Is The ‘Devil’

Angie calls Ariel “the most evil, vile, demonic criminal” in the world, in an interview with CNN.

Angie adds that she always saw her “daddy” as a “friendly, caring, doting man,” but now she’ll never speak to him again. “He is dead to me,” she said of her 52-year-old father.

Angie Recounts Clues She Missed During Home Visits To Ariel’s House

Like friend Rick Sanchez, Angie says that certain elements of her visits to Ariel’s home now seem suspicious.

“He would take forever to come to the door,” she said. Sometimes, while eating dinner, he would disappear without explanation.

One time, Angie asked to see her old bedroom, but Ariel said, “Oh, honey, there’s so much junk up there. You don’t want to go up there.”

Ariel always wanted to stay close to home, according to his daughter. Oftentimes, Angie and her husband would have to cancel plans they’d made with her father because he didn’t want to go far from his house.

Now, Angie is sick to her stomach about her father’s actions. She said, for her father “to go the vigils, to show these girls the footage of their parents’ pleas for their return, to rape, starve, and beat innocent human beings … I am disgusted.”

Ariel Castro Was Always A Violent Man

Sadly, Ariel was violent to Angie’s mother as well.

“When Mom and Dad were fighting, it’s like I just wanted to melt into the ground,” she said. “I’ve seen him basically stomp on her like she was a man,” she remembers.

Angie’s mother, Grimilda Figueroa, left after one of those altercations, the family split and Angie’s siblings went with Grimilda. Angie chose to finish growing up under her father’s roof.

Her mother died from brain cancer in 2012. While she still cries for the loss of her mother, “I don’t cry for him,” Angie said.
