Avengers, assemble! The next generation of superheroes is starting to take shape, and while we have a ways to go, there are already whispers about a ‘Young Avengers’ project in the works.
Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Kate Bishop in the new ‘Hawkeye’ Disney+ series said her journey as the young Avenger is only ‘just beginning’ at the LA premiere.
Bishop’s version of Hawkeye is a member of the Young Avengers in the Marvel Comics. But who else is to come?
A “She-Hulk” series is coming to Disney+ in 2022, and may very well feature another member of Young Avengers, Hulking, though not confirmed.
Though not in the original comics, a Ms. Marvel series is also coming to Disney+ with Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. It would make sense for her to join this dream team.
Wanda & Vision’s sons, Tommy and Billy — who become Speed and Wiccan in the Marvel Comics — appeared in “WandaVision” and so it’s possible they’ll return in the future.
Lest us not forget Florence Pough, who has taken up legacy left by Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. Again, not in the original comics, but they would be crazy not to include her.
