Sarah Jessica Parker
Her Broadway Journey
Before she was Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker was lighting up Broadway – and has now made a big return!
Her first big role was as Flora in the 1976 production of The Innocents.
A year later, she landed the title role of ‘Annie’ in the original Broadway production, replacing the original star.
As she got older, she took on even bigger roles, like Rosemary Pilkington in the 1995 Broadway Revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
A year later, she delighted audiences as Princess Winnifred in the Broadway Revival of Once Upon a Mattress in 1996.
With TV shows and big movie roles taking up most of her time, it would be over 20 years before SJP came back to Broadway officially, putting on the revival of Plaza Suite with her sweet husband, Matthew Broderick.
Let’s look at another legends’ journey, Audra McDonald!
