Our friends at Wisconsin Cheese have shared their top tips for storing your cheeses to make sure they last longer and taste just as good as the day you start snacking.
First, remember THE THREE C’s of cheese storage
Clean, Cold, and Covered
Cheese absorbs other flavors, so it is best to keep it away from anything else in your fridge that is pungent or aromatic.
Most kinds of cheese are comfortable between 34F and 38F so check your fridge temperature.
As for how long you can enjoy:
Hard Cheeses: 6 weeks after opening
Semi-hard cheeses: 4 weeks after opening
Soft or fresh cheeses: 2 weeks after opening
