Mexican food does not need to be heavy – in fact, you can enjoy a very light meal with some simple ingredients.

NYC chef Annisha Garcia shares with us her recipe for Spiked Shrimp Tacos.

First, marinate your shrimp for 20 mins – and don’t forget the Tequila.

Next, grab some jalapeño, onion and lime to start the guac!

Then add that delicious avocado and mash it up!

Next, time to make some pico - tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, lime — and again, some Tequila!

Now, Annisha burns off some MORE tequila to pour over the pico. Try at your own risk!

Back to the shrimp — time to get it on the grill!

Throw your tortillas on the grill too as you cook your shrimp – and assemble!
