The Full Jason Voorhees Timeline To Follow

Here’s how to watch Jason’s story unfold.

For over 30 years, the hockey-masked villain has been terrorizing audiences who come to see him on Friday the 13th movies.

with the first film,  Friday the 13th (1980)

The success of the movie led to two rapid-fire sequels: Friday the 13th Part II (1981) and Friday the 13th Part III (1982).

Thinking that Jason’s story had come to an end (yeah, right), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) was released 5 years after the original. But things didn’t stop there!

Staying in chronological order, there is a reboot Friday the 13th (2009), but it only serves as a recap of the original 4 movies.

Jason was revived in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986).

Again, the movie was swiftly followed by two sequels: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) and Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989).

It seemed time to finally have Jason die in the movie Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993).

But you can’t keep a good (bad?) man down, as he was needed for the ultimate face-off film:  Freddy vs Jason (2003).

But the year before that, the horror icon took his antics to space in Jason X (2002).
