Halloween 2020

is about to get extra spooky!

In October, for the first time in decades, two full moons will occur in the same month.

The first occurred on Thursday, October 1 – also known as

THE HARVEST MOON

The second happens on Halloween night – also known as

HUNTER'S MOON

But, because it’s the second in the same month, Hunter’s Moon Is dubbed a

BLUE MOON

It’s an especially rare treat, as the 2020 Halloween full moon will be visible to the entire world.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, a Halloween full Moon hadn’t appeared for everyone in all time zones since 1944.

There also hasn’t been a full moon on Halloween night since 2001.

Sadly, the nickname does not mean it will glow blue at night.

Still, it will look very impressive!
