Robin Williams’ Will Prevents Disney From Using His Genie Voice In Future ‘Aladdin’ Movies

Bad News Disney fans! There will be no new ‘Aladdin’ films featuring the voice of the late Robin Williams. Even though there is still plenty of unused material by the late performer in his Genie character, his will states the outtakes will remain on the cutting room floor. Sadness!

The late Robin Williams‘ voice will not be able to be used for a fourth Aladdin movie, even though he left plenty of unreleased material in the can as the beloved Genie character prior to his Aug. 2014 suicide at age 63. That’s bad news for Disney, who could have had enough vocal work to keep his fans happy with a new film in the Aladdin franchise. Read on for why we’ll sadly not get to hear the beloved comedian’s brilliant unused work.

‘Aladdin’: Watch Never-Before-Seen Clips Of Robin Williams As The Genie

So cool! Disney celebrated the 23rd anniversary of ‘Aladdin’ by re-releasing the classic animated movie with bonus material, featuring the late Robin Williams in some never-before-seen clips. Watch them here!

Can you believe it’s been 23 years since Aladdin was released in movie theaters? No, neither can we. But to celebrate the milestone, Disney is re-releasing the animated movie with the added bonus of some behind-the-scenes footage, including never-bef0re-seen clips of Robin Williams in the recording studio, playing the beloved Genie.

Robin Williams: Sarah Michelle Gellar Remembers Actor On Anniversary Of His Death


It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the iconic Robin Williams passed away. Many celebrities and fans who were touched by the actor took to social media to honor him on the one-year anniversary of his death.

To Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robin Williams was the “father [she] had always dreamed of having.” On August 10, the actress took to Instagram to pay tribute to her The Crazy Ones co-star, who took his own life on August 11, 2014. See her touching message along with some other beautiful words written by the many people he has touched.

‘Jumanji’: Reboot Of Classic Robin Williams Film To Be Released In 2016

Do we dare ask why? Sony has just confirmed that a reboot of the iconic flick, ‘Jumanji,’ is coming our way in 2016!

This is bittersweet. A remake of Jumanji, the 1995 fantasy-horror movie about a life threatening board game which comes to life, will hit movie theaters in time for Christmas, 2016. It’s definitely exciting news, however, Jumanji, famously starred the late, great Robin Williams, which makes the reboot plans weigh a bit heavier on our hearts. Still, though, who doesn’t want more terrifying rhinoceros stampedes and massive insects on our movie screens again? Here’s what we know about the updated version!

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since we lost Robin Williams. We’ll never forget that beautiful comedic voice, especially today, July 21, on what would have been his 64th birthday.

Robin Williams took his own life in August 2014, and the world just hasn’t been the same ever since. The beloved comedian and actor was a force to be reckoned with, a source of happiness for anyone who watched his films. Now, what would have been his 64th birthday, is the perfect time to remember the man we loved so much.

If you weren’t planning on crying today, move along. A first trailer for ‘Boulevard,’ Robin Williams’ final film, has just been released and it is extremely emotional.

In BoulevardRobin Williams plays a closeted man who, at 60, decides to make some extreme changes when he finds his life is heading in the wrong direction. The film, which will hit theaters on July 17, is Robin’s final film and it’s impossible not to draw parallels between his character and his own life. A tragic tear jerker for sure, the trailer is also beautiful and uplifting, and we can’t imagine the film will be much different. Watch the preview now!

Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman left Hollywood behind in 2014, but they have definitely not been forgotten by their peers or fans. During the 2015 SAG Awards, both actors, as well as many other celebrities who passed away last year, were honored during their In Memoriam.

Robin Williams: Medication-Induced Hallucinations Caused His Suicide — Report


Robin Williams’ suicide in August was a result of dementia and hallucinations brought on by Lewy Body Dementia coupled with the medication he was taking for his Parkinson’s, according to a new report. So sad.

Robin Williams may have been suffering more than we realized. When the actor committed suicide on August 11 at the age of 64, he was reportedly suffering from Lewy Body Dementia. The condition, coupled with his Parksinon’s and the medication he was taking to combat it, causes hallucinations.
