UPDATE (3:30 pm): Scott E. Leemon, attorney for James Roppo, the record exec arrested in the Bieber fiasco, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively in a statement: “The charges against James Roppo are completely unfounded and ridiculous … The Roosevelt Field Mall and the Nassau County Police Department were unprepared and had a complete lack of control at yesterday’s event and it is incomprehensible that they will not take responsibility.”
UPDATE: New York’s Daily News is reporting that James Roppo, the senior vice president of sales at Island Def Jam Records, was arrested at the scene of Justin Bieber‘s canceled mall appearance on Nov. 20. Even after police broke up the massive crowd — which may have included more than 10,000 people — Roppo reportedly sent out messages to fans, telling them that Justin was still signing autographs. The scene at the Roosevelt Field Mall got real ugly real fast, and eyewitness accounts are slowly coming to light thanks to raw footage from fans and, of course, YouTube! Read more
