Plus, Sookie faces off against Pam — before making a major confession.
I don’t want to say nothing happened on the June 24 episode of True Blood, but I will say it was a relatively calm week in Bon Temps. The night did, however, set the stage for some pretty epic story lines to come, including the return of the fairies. (Yep, they’re back.)
Sookie & Alcide? Pam & Tara? Jason & Steve? Tell us which Bon Temps twosomes you’re rooting for this summer!
We’re only two episodes into True Blood‘s fifth season, and along with a boat load of new vampires in town, we’ve also been given a ton of new potential pairings. So it’s time to play Cupid, and tell HollywoodLife.com which couples you hope to see shacking up in the coming weeks. Let those ships set sail!
Plus, vampire Tara goes bananas! Is there any hope for Sookie’s crazy-eyed BFF?
After almost a year of not-so-patiently waiting for the return of Russell Edgintgon (Denis O’Hare), we finally got our first glimpse of the newly freed vampire on the June 17 episode of True Blood — and my God, does he look terrible! It’s obviously going to be a while before he’s ready to go all “Emily Thorne” on the vampires who put him in the ground, but I have a feeling it’ll be well worth the wait.
Spoiler alert: Stop reading if you haven’t watched the fifth season premiere of ‘True Blood.’
I’d like to preface this rant by clarifying that I think Rutina Wesley is a fantastic actress. And she’s very pretty. That said, I’m kind of disappointed that Tara managed to survive her should-have-been-fatal gunshot wound on the June 10 season premiere of True Blood. As much as I worship the writers — without them, we’d have no show to enjoy — I feel like they’ve never really known what to do with Tara, and I’m not sure her new life as a vampire will solve that problem.
The fifth season premiere of ‘True Blood’ served up new secrets, grim deaths and… incest? I really forgot how messed up life in Bon Temps could be!
We’ve seen so many incarnations of Tara (Rutina Wesley) over the past few years — a cage fighter, a witch and a lesbian, just to name a few — that she’s starting to feel like Bon Temps’ version of Barbie. (More specifically, a Barbie that refuses to die.) But the June 10 season premiere of True Blood found Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) identity challenged BFF taking on a whole new persona.
Who’s hooking up? Who’s breaking down? Get a taste of what’s to come on the June 10 season premiere of ‘True Blood’!

Bon Temps’ newest magical resident tells HollywoodLife.com that season five will teach viewers ‘more about what it means to be a fairy.’
The brand-new trailer for the fifth season of True Blood promises plenty of vampire, werewolf and shifter action — but what about Bon Temps’ fruit-filled population? Don’t you worry; not only will fairies play a major part in the new season this June, but HollywoodLife.com has learned “they’re not like they were in any previous season.”
HollywoodLife.com chatted with Pam herself about next summer’s big premiere — find out what made her gasp!
True Blood‘s fifth season premiere is still more than six months away, but Kristin Bauer Van Straten says the first scripts have already been sent out — and they’re good. “I just read the script, we got it yesterday,” Kristin told HollywoodLife.com on Oct. 26 while promoting her appearance on the Oct. 30 episode of ABC’s Once Upon A Time. “I saw it come into my e-mail box and it said ‘script 501’ and I literally [gasped.]”
The joke really wasn’t funny, but hey, I’ll take any ‘True Blood’ I can get. Is it next summer yet?
Just when I thought I’d seen Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) have sex with vampires in every way imaginable — in a graveyard, on a drug trip, etc. — along came the Sept. 25 episode of Family Guy to present Sookie’s fang-banging in the most unthinkable form yet: animated!
But did the fear of fangs stop Cory Monteith from showing up? The rest of the ‘Glee’ cast partied alongside the cast of ‘True Blood,’ ‘Entourage,’ ‘Game of Thrones’ and so many more!
Every year, the HBO Emmy party is THE bash to beat — and this year was no exception! Stars from all networks flocked to the glam event, which was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, following the Emmy Awards Sept. 18. The Game of Thrones cast mingled with the Entourage guys, while the Glee kids chatted it up with William H. Macy.
Warning: Don’t read if you haven’t watched the season finale of ‘True Blood.’ Things are about to get… spoiler-y.
Five deaths, two disappointed vampires and one unsettling return added up to a seriously mind-blowing True Blood season finale. And while I predict a lot of fans have a bad taste in their mouth after the Sept. 11 episode, I loved every minute — and more importantly — every twist.
Plus, ‘old’ Eric rears his ugly head! Do you wish he was still cute & cuddly, or are you glad he has his memory back?
Ding-dong, the witch is dead! Well, sort of. On the Sept. 4 episode of True Blood, Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) used his insane brujo powers — see the terrifying image above — to separate Marnie (Fiona Shaw) from Antonia and lower the forcefield around the Moon Goddess Emporium, allowing Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) to bust in and finish her off.
Talk about a compromise! What did you think of tonight’s epic ménage à Temps?
After three long seasons of Bill-or-Eric drama, Sookie (Anna Paquin) finally asked a very important question on the Aug. 21 episode of HBO’s True Blood: “Why can’t I have both?” The end result was a steamy scene that gave both Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) fans reason to pause. Then rewind, and play again.
