I thought I had my favorites figured out, but now I think rapper/singer Chris Rene might be the dark horse of the competition!
What a night on The X Factor! After last week’s abysmal Michael Jackson night, the final five performers needed to redeem themselves, and they did just that. The first half of the show consisted of “dance hits,” which were hit and miss, but the second half was a plot twist — the singers had only 24 hours to pick a song of their choosing to perform the following night — and honestly, they all shined. Sadly, Rachel Crow didn’t thrill me as much as usual — I predict she’ll be in the bottom. However, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro and Chris Rene are all strong contenders for first place, in my book.
Nearly all of the contestants — including my favorites Josh Krajcik and Rachel Crow — bombed this week, leaving Melanie Amaro to shine
This week on The X Factor, the contestants tried to pay homage to the late Michael Jackson by
butchering singing his hits. Unfortunately, nearly every singer hit below the mark, which felt incredibly awkward considering Michael’s family — including his three children, Blanket, Paris and Prince — were sitting in the audience. Thankfully, the Jacksons were a diplomatic group and had nothing but positive things to say about the show, although the bored expressions on their faces spoke volumes. In fact, the performances were so painful, I’ve included the only one worth watching after the jump, just so you don’t have to sit through all of them if you haven’t already. You’re welcome.
Josh Krajcik gave the best performance of the season on ‘The X Factor’ Nov. 22. He may have just become this year’s winner!
A day earlier but equally as intriguing, tonight’s The X Factor was all about “giving thanks.” However, leave it to Josh Krajcik‘s performance to make me thankful to have The X Factor as a staple on my DVR.
Is there some rivalry going on between two of the youngest ‘The X Factor’ competitors? We think so!
It was Rock Week on ‘The X Factor!’ Who do YOU think deserves to stay?
The top 10 brought their all on The X Factor Nov. 16, but not everyone sang to their full potential. I thought Astro and Josh Krajcik stepped up their their game from last week, but Stacy Francis and even my favorite, Rachel Crow, were less than stellar.
Rachel reveals she’s a huge Robert Pattinson fan in this EXCLUSIVE interview!
When HollywoodLife.com asked her if she was excited for the Breaking Dawn release, Rachel Crow, 13, lit up. “I’m so excited!” she said. “I can’t wait for that to come out! I am a total Twi-Hard — I love it! I love it, love it, love it!”
She’s BACK! Rachel Crow finally performed to her full potential on ‘The X Factor’ Nov. 9. I think we’ve found our winner!
Flash forward a couple months and I know we’ll still be watching Rachel Crow slay it on The X Factor! Despite a couple less than stellar weeks, the 13-year-old singer was back and better than ever for Movie Night Nov. 9. Adorable, but wise beyond her years, Rachel reminds me of a Beyonce and Shirley Temple mix — she’s a star!
Rachel’s adoptive parents talk about the hard road that came before the too-cute star hit it big!
After ‘The X Factor’ results show Nov. 3, Simon Cowell told reporters he plans on having a full team to coach for the entire season! Do YOU think his girls will last?
It’s no secret Simon Cowell is competitive. However, this season on The X Factor, he’s out for blood! Following the results show when one of Paula Abdul‘s group was eliminated Nov. 3, the 52-year-old British judge and mentor promised he wouldn’t be losing anyone of his three girls, Drew, Melanie Amaro and Rachel Crow, anytime soon!
It was the first night based on audience votes, and all three of Simon Cowell’s girls KILLED it. Who is YOUR favorite so far?
Normally during American Idol season there are two or three “favorite” contestants who consistently steal the spotlight and we can take or leave the rest. However, with The X Factor, there isn’t one contestant or group in the Top 12 who sticks out like a sore thumb. Virtually everyone rose to the occasion and performed their hearts out Nov. 2. That said, since we have to be picky, I think the group Lakoda Rayne and the over 30 LeRoy Bell were the weakest contestants out of the bunch. What about you?
After her impressive performance during ‘The X Factor’ live show, HollywoodLife.com caught up with the 13-year-old Rachel Crow backstage about her goals, dreams and favorite artists!
With her twinkling eyes and outgoing personality, Rachel Crow won us over from the second she bounded on stage during the premiere episode of The X Factor last month — and her flawless performance on the first live show last night had us just as impressed! After the show, HollywoodLife.com chatted with the driven 13-year-old singer, who dished about her mind-blowing experience and surprised us with her favorite artist!
During one of the most entertaining two and a half hour long episodes I’ve EVER seen, the top 12 singers were revealed on ‘The X Factor’ Oct. 25 — and the judges did an incredible job picking (for the most part)!
When I first saw FOX expected us to sit through a two and a half hour performance on The X Factor Oct. 25, I thought they were off their rocker and I didn’t think I was going to make it. However, they certainly proved me wrong. Nearly each and every one of the two minute long performances was entertaining. In fact, there were only a few I couldn’t stand and for the most part, those people didn’t make it through to another round. Who were YOUR favorites tonight?
What did YOU think of the judges top 16 (ahem, 17)? Are you as bummed with some of their choices as I am?
The four judges on The X Factor each picked the four acts they wanted to progress onto the live rounds Oct. 18 — and honestly, I don’t know what they were smoking! Each judge selected contestants I would have never have chosen to go on in the competition. What did they see that we didn’t?
Did YOUR favorites make the cut?
The X Factor succeeded once again at keeping me totally enthralled through another “audition” episode, the sixth, to be exact! On tonight’s show we witnessed the tail end of boot camp in LA, the picking of the semi-final 32 contestants for each of the four groups and the dividing of the groups between the judges. It’s hard to believe the producers managed to squeeze so much into an hour and a half!
Nearly 200 contestants traveled to Los Angeles for a three day boot camp, where some of our old favorites fell to the bottom of the heap, while other unexpected performers rose to the challenge!
This week nearly 200 contestants came together in Los Angeles for “boot camp,” which consisted of a dance test and singing auditions. We saw all of our favorites from the first episodes and while some knocked it out the ball park (Rachel Crow and Chris Rene), others struggled. Stacy Francis, for example, totally butchered her audition by holding out her high notes wayyyyy too long. “That was absolutely over-the-top,” Simon Cowell said.
