Lord & Taylor launches the first-ever ‘Project Runway’ capsule collection — now you can own a gorgeous frock from one of the former designers at an affordable price!
10 seasons into Project Runway and we are still getting our share of firsts. Most recently, Lord & Taylor has announced the launch of the first-ever Project Runway capsule collection. To celebrate the 10th season of the show, one designer from each of the previous seasons is creating a dress for the collection. For the contestants of the current season, they will fight it out for the last spot in the capsule collection in the episode airing August 30.
The dreaded team challenge — who curses out who, who goes home for a SECOND time this season and more. Get all the scoop from the episode from Michael Costello, designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant, right here!
I find it very exciting that Melissa is by herself at Atlas. If I could go back in time I’d rather be alone in my own room with a private bathroom. You should be thankful girl! Some private time during Project Runway is a blessing.
Michael Costello, designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant, gives us a hilarious run down from episode four, where we saw so many contestants drop out of the competition — and a new face returned!
Welcome to my Project Runway recap! As Heidi always says, “ONE DAY YOU’RE IN AND THE NEXT DAY YOU’RE OUT,” and this week’s episode is a literal interpretation of the famous Project Runway phrase. One day Andrea Katz was in the competition and then in the middle of the night, the missing Olsen triplet a.k.a Melissa Fleiss (my new nickname for her) and her roommate Buffi discovered that she was out. She left Project Runway like it was a bad one night stand, no note or kiss goodbye. Strange…
Michael Costello, designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant, gives us a hilarious run down from episode three — which was definitely a blast from the past!
This week on Project Runway the designers had their first red carpet challenge. The designers who were paired into teams and groups of two, were given $300 and one day for this challenge. Those weren’t the only obstacles though! The designers were suddenly told they would be picking up their clients in a fancy Lexus somewhere in NYC. There is a lot riding on this challenge because the winner of this challenge and their client will be going to the Emmys! How exciting? I’m instantly hoping its not Andrea Katz or Gunnar!
Michael Costello, designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant, gives us a HILARIOUS insider’s view on the unconventional challenge! Read on for his recap right here.
Last night’s episode was a tasty one this week, as the designers were asked to create a look made out of candy for their first, (and everyone’s favorite), “the unconventional challenge.” I have to say, I love these challenges on Project Runway! You can really see what the designers can do — and what makes them go crazy. Guest judging this episode is the beautiful Dylan Lauren, daughter of the fashion legend Ralph Lauren and owner of Dylan’s candy bar!
The final competition brought the final four to Fashion Week — but there could only be one winner!
All season on Project Runway we’ve been watching as Anya pulls it all together in the eleventh hour — and that’s exactly what happened on last night’s show when the Project Runway winner was revealed. Despite her poor showing last week, one last trip to Mood seems to save the day — and Josh of course, is far from pleased.
This week we went home to see how the designer’s are prepping for the final challenge — but unfortunately, one contestant doesn’t make it to the final competition — or do they?
Before the designer’s can show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC, Tim Gunn awkwardly but adoringly treks out to the hometown of each remaining contestant, where he tracks their progress and meets their family and friends. These scenes always remind me of what it’s like when you’re younger and you run into your grade school teacher on the sidewalk or in the supermarket, when you’re both dressed down and you’re with your mom — it doesn’t always seem natural!
Adam Lambert guest judges and the remaining eight contestants are split into two groups to craft looks for the men, set to grace the cover of ‘Rolling Stone’ — but whenever a new project and teamwork is introduced there’s bound to be drama!
Season nine, episode nine of Project Runway kicked off with Tim Gunn informing the designers that they will be creating looks for up-and-coming band “Sheepdog” — and that the looks would be featured in both Marie Claire and Rolling Stone! The group is split into two teams. Team one includes: Olivier, Viktor, Kimberly and Josh. Team Two is made up of: Bert, Anthony Ryan, Laura and Anya. Let the drama begin!
Last week it was Nina, this week it’s Heidi who are putting the designers to work! If you like the winning designs, find out how you can scoop them up here!
This week, Project Runway was all about promoting an active lifestyle as contestants attempted to create fun and trendy sports apparel!
Nina just might be the toughest critic around — especially once she stepped into the design room to give the designers her input!
My main observation from tonight’s episode of Project Runway is that Nina Garcia likes to say NO — and she says it a lot! The designers were presented with the challenge to design for the meticulous judge — and while it’s a huge honor, I definitely wouldn’t want to find myself on Nina’s bad side!
The stylish reality star and savvy business woman joins Heidi Klum and the rest of the gang as she offers up “constructive criticism” to the Project Runway contestants! WATCH a preview here
So far this season of Project Runway has been better than ever — and with Kim Kardashian serving as guest judge and the first-ever outdoor fashion show it looks like the trend will continue! This week, Heidi Klum came up with a unique challenge that utilizes the most volume and fabric — models on stilts! This will really give everyone a chance to show what they can do, and they have a larger than usual $500 budget for supplies!
It looks like ‘Project Runway’ has taken a cue from ‘Top Chef’ and created it’s own spin-off that is no longer about finding new talent, but recycling the old. Oh and there’s no Heidi Klum!
Well I never quite got the appeal of watching contestants that were already deemed not good enough competing once again for the top spot, but I guess whether I like it or not Project Runway All Stars is coming at us full throttle. Click to read and find out who of the former contestants will be back!
On the second episode of this season’s ‘Project Runway’, the designers used their creativity to craft clothes — out of pet store products! It was the weirdest challenge I’ve seen so far!
Who ever thought aquarium wiring, cat stratching posts, and colorful ferret litter could look so glamourous — or atrocious!? The Project Runway workroom was full of hay, hamster bedding and wee-wee doggie pads in what was easily one of the most interesting challenges to date. If you thought last week’s episode proved whether these designers could sink or swim, think again!
Season 9 of Project Runway kicked off tonight and the designers were forced to create a design from what they were wearing on their backs when they walked in the workroom! We can tell you who’s gonna be a crowd fave, who’s a guaranteed dramaqueen, and who will definitely get the boot next episode!
Project Runway kicked off tonight and after the new designers presented their most treasured garments on their racks, four were already sent home! Gunner Deatherage, Serena da Conceicao, David Chum, and Amanda Perna were hardly even given a chance to make it or break it in the fashion world! After the unfortunate four were tossed, Tim Gunn sent the remaining 16 contestents, including reformed 57-year-old alcoholic Bert, cancer survivor Anthony Ryan, a mid-western sweetheart named Laura Kathleen (who everyone refers to as ‘Barbie’) and quirky Julie Tierney.
If you’re a Project Runway fanatic you’ll love this! We’ve got all the details on how you and a friend can win a trip to NYC during Fashion Week — just in time for the big finale show!
Season nine of Project Runway hasn’t started yet, but we’re so excited to see what the contestants and Heidi Klum have in store for us! If you’re as excited as we are, you’ll be happy to know that Miss Klum is giving one lucky fan a chance to come to NYC and attend the finale show during Fashion Week at Lincoln Center this fall.
