Rikki Rockett, 54, told host Eddie Trunk on December 14 during his SiriusXM show Eddie Trunk Live that he was diagnosed with oral cancer in July 2015, and had been undergoing treatments for the disease ever since. Though it’s been a terrifying journey for Rikki and his loved ones, the prognosis is “excellent” for the famed drummer.

Bret Michaels, 51, is best known as being the frontman for Poison, an American rock band which rose to fame in the mid-1980s, and for his role on the reality TV competition series Rock Of Love. On May 29, Bret was performing some of his solo material when he was abruptly rushed off the stage for emergency medical care.

A cerebral hemorrhage last spring almost cost Bret Michaels his life, which didn’t just scare him and his girlfriend, Kristi Gibson, but also deeply affected their two daughters, Raine, 10, and 5-year-old Jorja. “After the hemorrhage, I realized how quickly things can be taken away from you. I just said, ‘Oh my God, now I’m really going to try to strive to be a great dad,'” Bret says in an interview in Us magazine. “My kids saved my life, and that is the truth.
