Jeff Franklin, creator of ‘Fuller House,’ is just as heartbroken over the Olsens refusing to appear on the Netflix spinoff, but he hasn’t completely given up hope just yet!

With ‘Fuller House’ officially coming to our living rooms (and yours) on Feb. 26, we still have a tiny ping of hope that Michelle will return. Well, now we exclusively can tell you that may be true — at some point.

Find out the surprising reasons why they’re ditching this reunion below — and what their Full House fam had to say about it.
Are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, 29, too good to return to their Full House roots? The much-anticipated Full House spin-off, Fuller House, will be short one member of the Tanner clan come February when the show premiers on Netflix. Mary-Kate and Ashley, aka the twins who played your favorite 90’s squirt Michelle Tanner, decided not to appear with the rest of their former TV fam … and we were shocked to find out why!
‘Fuller House’ has officially received a theme song — and it’s a cover of the original theme! So, who will sing it?
While the teaser that made us all cry for Fuller House featured Miranda Lambert‘s “House That Built Me,” we can now confirm that the original theme from the ’90s hit show will actually return for the Netflix spinoff that will focus on DJ, Kimmy and Stephanie, and their family. However, it won’t be the original version — and it’s by one our favorite singers!
This is the best thing we’ve ever seen. Our favorite ‘Fuller House’ girls prove they’re the coolest doing the ‘Whip/Nae Nae.’ Click to WATCH!
Watch them whip! Watch them nae nae! DJ (Candace Cameron-Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy (Andrea Barber) do the “Whip/Nae Nae” for an all-new Fuller House teaser. Full House has been off the air for 20 years, but these ladies are still too cool for school!

Looks like there’s no bad blood with (one half of) Michelle Tanner! Ashley Olsen posed with the Tanners on Dec. 8, regardless of the fact that she refused to return for the new Netflix series.
The Tanners definitely weren’t just a TV family! Bob Saget, AKA Danny Tanner, reunited with his Full House daughters, Candace Cameron-Bure (DJ) and Ashley Olsen (half of Michelle) at the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine: A Benefit for The Scleroderma Research Foundation event in New York City. While Bob and Candace are co-stars on the new Netflix spin-off, Ashley and her newly-married sister Mary-Kate turned down the role!
There will be one VERY important family member missing when ‘Fuller House’ comes to Netflix this spring — Michelle Tanner! But don’t worry, the Olsen Twins’ character’s absence will be explained on the show, and it might surprise you. Get the scoop here!
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen won’t be reprising their role as Michelle Tanner on Fuller House this spring, but that doesn’t mean their character’s story is going to be brushed over completely! In fact, we’ll learn just what the youngest Tanner sister is up to now that everyone’s older, according to a new report. Find out their career here!
What a bummer! The entire cast of ‘Full House’ is getting together for the Netflix reboot of ‘Fuller House’, but the Olsen twins are officially not going to be a part of the new show. What are we going to do without Michelle Tanner?
The Full House spinoff won’t be available until 2016, but we’ve already been getting sneak peeks from behind the scenes of its filming thanks to the social media savvy cast. And while we were holding out hope that either Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen, 29, would step up and at least make a cameo as the youngest Tanner, we’re not going to get it after all. Star Lori Loughlin, 51, has confirmed they never taped anything for the new show, which has wrapped its first season.
Candace Cameron Bure knows what it feels like to be home! The actress just took to Facebook to share the first look at the brand new
Tanner Fuller family home, which is similar to the original ‘Full House’ home we loved, but definitely has a more modern twist.
As if we weren’t already so excited for Fuller House, now we’re really getting all the feels. Candace Cameron Bure, AKA DJ Tanner took to Facebook on Oct. 28 to show a pic of the house being built on set for the new Netflix series. Of course, the original exterior shot of the Tanner house was an actual house in San Francisco, but this time, it’s just a set and it looks a lot different.
Stephanie and DJ dating brothers? Well, we’re not thrilled to hear DJ isn’t immediately with Steve, but if she has to date someone else, why not be a man she met on ‘DWTS?!’
Move over, Steve! Val Chmerkovskiy and Maksim are headed to the Netflix spinoff! The dancing brothers will reportedly be heading off the dance floor and onto the silver screen for Fuller House as the love interests of DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin)!
We’re pretty much dying with anticipation for the debut of ‘Fuller House’ on Netflix. Unfortunately, we still have a ways to go until we get to watch the episodes — but it’s not all bad news. To tide yourself over while you wait, here’s what we’ve learned about D.J. and Kimmy’s on-screen kids!

We know D.J. will be playing a single mom of three on the Full House revival, Fuller House, and now we know all about these kids and what they’ll be like on the show! One of D.J.’s sons will have a total “Uncle Jessie” vibe and another will be more like Grandpa Danny — find out more!
Even though D.J. and Steve didn’t live happily ever after on ‘Full House,’ they may get a second shot at love on the series’ upcoming spinoff, ‘Fuller House!’ Scott Weinger teased a reunion between the former lovers when he posted the most adorable photo Sept. 30. See it here.
D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) and Steve (Scott Weinger) are back together! Ever since Scott announced he’d be returning to the Full House universe by appearing on the Netflix spinoff Fuller House, we have been hoping his character, Steve, and D.J. would reignite their romance. And now, it looks like our wish may be coming true!
