Bio:
Carson Palmer (born Carson Hilton Palmer on December 27, 1979 in Frenso, California) is an American professional football player. Carson was a big kid growing up, reaching remarkable size and strength by the time he was in the seventh grade. He attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School, joining the football team. After a successful stint as a starter as a junior, Carson received offers from USC, Notre Dame, Colorado and other colleges. He attended University of Southern California in 1998, where he continued to improve. As a college senior, Carson had his best year ever, taking the team to win the Orange Bowl in 2002. Carson’s performance earned him the Heisman Trophy, the first quarterback from USC to win the award. Carson signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an unrestricted free agent. He didn’t play during his rookie season, taking the year to practice and develop his skills. His first game came in 2004. In 2006, Carson suffered a massive leg injury and was taken out. He missed the 2005 season, returning to play in 2006. Carson continued to play with the struggling Bengals until 2010. Carson requested to be traded, but this was denied. Carson planned to retire, if necessary, but the Bengals traded Carson to the Oakland Raiders. After two years at Oakland, Carson was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2013. Though Carson suffered another injury in 2014, he and the Cardinals have found unprecedented success together.
