Ever since talented 15-year-old rapper Astro was eliminated from X Factor, rumors have swirled that Jay Z has already signed him to a record contrast, but here’s what Astro and LA Reid told us at the X Factor finale!
Rapping, songwriting Astro couldn’t have been more memorable as an X Factor contestant and again in a short solo in last night’s, Dec. 22nd, finale. But the big question is: has Jay Z already swooped in and signed him to a record deal?

Astromay have ended his X Factorrun Dec. 1, but the 15-year-old rapper says that elimination marks the “beginning” of his career. “I can record a whole mix tape now if I want,” Astro told HollywoodLife.com exclusively following his exit. “It opened up a wide door for me. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
