See photos of Woody Allen through the years in honor of his birthday on December 1.

Woody Allen, born December 1, 1935, is a writer, director, and actor. Allen has led a decades-long career in filmmaking, coming to fame in the 1970s. He’s responsible for such films as ‘Annie Hall,’ ‘Hannah & Her Sisters,’ ‘Manhattan,’ ‘Blue Jasmine,’ ‘Midnight In Paris,’ and more. He has won four Oscars.

Allen was memorably in a relationship with actress Mia Farrow in the ‘80s and early ‘90s. The two adopted children and shared biological son Ronan Farrow. In the early ‘90s, allegations by Farrow and her adopted daughter Dylan were levied against Allen, claiming that the director sexually abused Dylan when she was a child.

Woody Allen married Soon-Yi Previn, Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter with her former husband Andre Previn, in 1997. Soon-Yi is roughly 35 years younger than Woody Allen. To see more photos of the filmmaker throughout the years of his career, look through the images in this gallery of photos.
