She is the 18-year-old daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. She has two older brothers Jaden Smith and half brother Trey Smith. She was born in Los Angeles on Oct. 21, 2000. Her dad initially got her into acting, with her debut coming his 2007 film ‘I Am Legend.’ She broke out as a star on her own in 2010 with the song ‘Whip My Hair” and followed it up with ’20th Century Girl.’ She released her debut album ‘Ardipithecus’ in 2015 and followed it up with 2017’s “The 1st .’ She revealed in 2018 that the international success of ‘Whip My Hair’ led to her cutting herself. “It was after that whole ‘Whip My Hair’ thing and I had just stopped doing singing lessons and I was kind of just in this gray area of, ‘Who am I? Do I have a purpose? Is there anything I can do besides this? ‘After the tour and the promotion and all of that, they wanted me to finish my album. And I was like, I’m not gonna do that. And after all of that kinda settled down and it was like a kind of lull, I was just listening to a lot of dark music. It was just so crazy and I was plunged into this black hole, and I was cutting myself,’ Willow revealed on her mom’s Facebook Watch talk show ‘Red Table Talk.’
