‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’ stars Daniel in the role of Al Yankovic and the plot is loosely based on Al’s life and successful career as a comedian in a biolgraphical parody genre. It first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 8, 2022 and went on to premiere in New York on Nov. 1. Evan plays the role of Madonna, who had a big impact on Al’s career.
The premieres brought out the stars and crew of the film, which includes Lin-Manuel Miranda and director Eric Appel. The film, which premiers on the Roku Channel on Nov. 4, 2022, reportedly exaggerates certain parts of Al’s life to give off a comedy effect, which he has been known for throughout his rise to fame. Al showed off his iconic long curly hair at the premieres and wore the kind of colorful patterned attire he has been known for.
