Vanessa Hudgens is an American actress and singer. The California-native rose to fame with her portrayal of Gabriella Montez in Disney’s ‘High School Musical’ film series from 2006 to 2008. She went on to aquire a record deal with Hollywood Records following the mainstream success of the first movie. Vanessa continued to focus on her acting career and starred in the films ‘Bandslam’ (2009), ‘Beastly, Sucker Punch’ (both 2011), ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ (2012), ‘Spring Breakers’ (2013), ‘The Princess Switch’, ‘Second Act’ (both 2018), and ‘Bad Boys for Life’ (2020). She also starred in two of Fox’s live musical productions, playing Rizzo in ‘Grease: Live’ (2016), and Maureen Johnson in ‘Rent: Live’ (2019). Vanessa took on the title role in the Broadway production of ‘Gigi’ and starred in the Kennedy Center production before the show headed to NYC in 2015. Most recently, Vanessa starred in the Netflix film adaption of the musical ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
