Sept. 22 at 9PM on Fox
You may recognize her from Twisted or Under the Dome, but at 27, Kylie is absolutely one of the most buzzed about stars of pilot season. She’s playing Ginny Baker, who becomes the first woman to be in the majors. Fox partnered with MLB for Pitch, to make the show as accurate as possible. In doing so, Kylie not only had to juggle emotion and strength to play Ginny, she also picked up playing baseball extremely fast. She was even in the casting room when the team behind the show searched for the perfect co-stars.

Playing the role of Martin Riggs on the upcoming Lethal Weapon — yes, the role Mel Gibson played — was definitely something that worried Clayne. “I kept saying no because I didn’t want to play this character. I knew everybody was going to hate me. Mel Gibson killed it,” he told HollywoodLife.com. “I was a huge fan and I think that’s why I didn’t want to f–k with it.” However, once he read the script he couldn’t turn it down.
Mondays at 9PM on Freeform
In the Amanda Knox-inspired Freeform Drama, Daisy impressed the creators immediately. “We had seen hundreds of actors in LA. Daisy had submitted a self tape from England, and she was wearing a hoodie and laying down,” EP Kathryn Price told us. “We’re lke, ‘I cant really see her. what shes doing?’ But she is so mesmerizing, we were like, ‘That’s her. that’s her.’
Mondays at 10PM on ABC
Alright, we know you already know Shawn, probably from my favorite, The Following. However, you’ll love him even more on Conviction, where he plays the ADA who wants the job Hayley Atwell gets. While not a newcomer to TV, this will be his standout role.
Wednesdays at 10PM on ABC
Another one of our favorites on TV from Supergirl and Chasing Life, is (in my mind) one ofthe most underrated actors on TV. Italia will play Emily, the Cheif of Staff, who doesn’t take any crap from anyone. That’s what we love to see.
Time After Time
Sundays at 9PM on ABC
Let’s be honest. When he was the suitor on UnREAL season 1, we fell in love. We get why he is now engaged to his choice on the show’s how (yes, the show’s show), and now we cannot wait to see him when his show airs in midseason.
8PM on CBS (Fall)
What do we know about Lucas Till? Not much really. I loved him as a young Cash inWalk the Line. Now Havok from XMen is taking on the iconic role and that alone proves that his acting chops are A+. He’s definitely set to be a breakthrough star this fall.
The CW – Midseason
It’s not easy to jump into an iconic role. And it’s very difficult to jump into a comic book iconic role. That’s what 18-year-old KJ is doing, playing Archie in Riverdale. Dying his hair and getting in shape is one thing, but clearly he can do much more than that and trust me — it’s impressive.
Tuesdays at 9PM on The CW
Canadaian actress Tori made her claim to fame on TeenNick’s Open Heart. Not only does Tori have a sense of humor that shines, she also connects with male lead, Joshua Sasse. Their chemistry is palpable for sure, and with this show coming from the creative team being Jane, it’s bound to be a huge success.
Taylor John Smith
Let me start by saying we’re not sure when this one will be airing and really what network it will end up on. But one thing is for sure. Taylor John Smith is not Ryan Phillippe and we know he’s going to get the comparisons to the character’s late dad, but let’s give this guy a break.
This Is Us
Tuesdays at 9PM on NBC.
One of my can’t miss shows of the season, This Is Us is full of a stellar cast. However, don’t let Justin (who plays The Manny) slide under your radar. He plays an actor who isn’t playing a serious enough role — but in this show, his role is super strong and actually he delivers some of the most heart-wrenching scenes in the pilot. Trust me, keep an eye on this one.
Wednesdays at 9PM on The CW.
If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll be seriously obsessed with the TV show – and if you haven’t, you’ll still LOVE it. Peyton is absolutely amazing as the star — she takes on the leading lady like no other and emotionally really can connect with every other cast member, including her dad, played by Riley Smith.
Midseason on NBC
We could tell from the backdoor pilot that the latest Chicago spinoff will be just as addicting as the other shows. Philip definintely shines, like he has in every role he’s done, but it takes one hell of an actor to still glow next to someone as talented as Carl Weathers.
