After his breakthrough performance in ‘generation-defining’ films like ‘All The Right moves’ and ‘Risky Business,’ he cemented his place in Tinsel Town with 1986’s ‘Top Gun.’ From there, the sky has been the limit, as Tom has appeared in such classics as ‘Rain Man,’ ‘Born on the Fourth of July,’ ‘A Few Good Men,’ ‘Interview With the Vampire,’ ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Magnolia.’ While he has picked up a handful of Golden Globe awards for his dramatic work, since the mid-2000s, he has focused primarily on action films. While the private Tom has tried to keep the focus on his professional life, his personal life has captivated fans. He has been married three times – to Mimi Rodgers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes – and adopted two children during his second marriage while fathering a daughter, Suri Cruise, during his third. He is also an outspoken advocate of the Church of Scientology, and his involvement in the organization has been a source of much scrutiny.
