From Marilyn Monroe to Amy Adams, we’ve seen Hollywood royalty get snubbed by the Academy for almost a century. One of the greats who has never been recognized is Glenn Close. She may be Hollywood royalty, but she has never won an Oscar! The seven-time Academy Award nominee is regarded as one of the greatest actresses of her generation, and is the recipient of numerous accolades, including three Emmys, three Tonys, and three Golden Globes. Another famous upset came when Johnny Depp did not receive an Academy Award – after three nods! He earned nominations from the Academy for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Finding Neverland. However, he’s somehow yet to receive an award.
