Now in the third year of the pandemic with multiple variants under our belts, many celebrities have come down with COVID. And it’s no surprise. With over to 550 million cases reported worldwide since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the virus clearly hasn’t been discriminating when it comes to who gets sick.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were among the first celebs to confirm they had contracted the disease back in March of 2020. At the time the ‘Forrest Gump’ star shared an optimistic message with fans. “We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball.”
