Her voice is remarkable, her career is incredible and her face…is unrecognizable by many. Sia – born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler in Adelaide, Australia – had been performing for years when she broke through in 2014. Her single ‘Chandelier’ was a top-ten single, and sparked a partnership with young dancer Maddie Ziegler. She returned to the tops of the charts in 2016 with her first Billboard Hot 100 single, “Chip Thrills.” What really captured the public’s fascination was Sia’s choice to wear face-covering masks for her performances. The obfuscating wigs are meant to give Sia some privacy when she’s not performing, as the singer once said that ‘If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous.’ Despite this tendency to hide herself from the paparazzi and her adoring fans, there are moments when she is seen without her trademark wigs.
